Peter Tobin
Peter Tobin is a convicted murderer and sex offender born in 1946 who is serving a life sentence in prison. In November of 2007, another body was found in his former home, causing further research by investigators.
Timeline of Criminal History
1993 – Attacks two 14-year old girls who are babysitting his son. He holds them at knifepoint while raping them.
1994 – After being arrested, Tobin pleads guilty and receives a prison sentence of 14 years.
2004 – Tobin is released from prison.
Sept. 2006 – Working as a church handyman, Tobin assumes the name “Pat McLaughlin” to avoid violating terms of Sex Offender Registry
Sept. 2006 – Angelika Kluk, a student from Skoczow, Poland works with Tobin. She was beaten, raped, and stabbed to death, and buried underneath the floor in the church.
March to May 2007 – Trail lasts six weeks. While Tobin denied raping and murdering Kluk, he admitted to having consensual sex with her.
May 2007 – Tobin violates the terms of the Violent and Sex Offender Registry, and is sentenced to 30 more months, following the sentence of life imprisonment he received.
June 2007 – Police search Tobin’s former home in connection with the disappearance of 15-year old Vicky Hamilton, last seen in 1991.
Nov. 2007 – Police confirm that human remains found outside Tobin’s former home are that of Vicky Hamilton.
Nov. 2007 – A second body is found, confirmed to be the remains of Dinah McNicol.
